The story expresses the inspirational, persistent, and resilient life of Dr. Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) in China and America. Revealed are his rarely told connection with the United States, including his early education in Hawaii where he became a devoted Christian. Sun raised millions of dollars across the world for his revolutionary cause and failed many attempts at overthrowing the Qing Dynasty.

Once successful, he adopted a democratic constitutional and capitalist system for China then relinquished his presidency to broker peace and unification among rival warlords. The culmination of his life centers on the widely revered political leader’s perseverance of his objective, which inspired his fellow revolutionaries to overthrow China’s 2000-year-old dynastic system, resulting in the creation of a democratic Republic of China.
